Winery:

After managing a B&B in the south of France, Martin and Vivien Rawlinson were inspired to establish St John’s Road with a vision to produce full flavoured, yet elegant, wines which reflect the essence of the Barossa.

Since 2012, custodianship of St John’s Road has rested with Phil Lehmann, Jonathon Hesketh and a variety of Barossa wine growing families. Their aim is to uphold Martin and Vivien’s vision of producing wines that are not only true to the Barossa, but also the sub districts and vineyards they are grown in.

In 2013 the 20Ha Resurrection vineyard was purchased in the coveted Ebenezer sub-district of the Barossa Valley. It is home to 80 year old Shiraz vines, Century old Maywald Selection Shiraz cuttings and small sections of Grenache and Mataro. The three classic Barossa varietals. This vineyard, along with some of the Lehmann's long standing Barossa family grower partners, form the backbone of the St John's Road fruit sourcing.

The region's best fruit sources, coupled with Phil Lehmann's winemaking talents, and iconic Barossa branding, forms the backbone and essence of St John's Road Barossa.
